 Embedded Software Engineer
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in embedded software development in real time operating systems.
- Relevant experience in hardware architecture and real time operating systems.
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Strong Firmware development and de-bugging skills.
- Experienced knowledge of C/C++, Linux and Object-Oriented concepts.
- Ability to work independently or on a team, with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to act as a technical representative of the organization and make decisions about solution design and implementation.
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
- Willing to travel internationally for extended periods
Software Quality Lead Engineer(Software Quality Assurence Engineer)
Specific responsibilities
·
Define SW Quality strategy to be implemented on the qualification of the different HP Large Format products considering the target market segment and the complexity of the product.
·
Deliver SWQA deliverables to programs on time and with expected quality level
o
SW Quality plan integrated with the overall Quality plan
o
Execution of SWQA tests activities on time and with the planned budget
o
SW Defect tracking process execution
·
Champion defect prevention techniques and methodologies (e.g. Design reviews, …)
·
Propose/design/implement enhancements in system testing, as well as in other project areas that can improve the quality of the final product.
·
Review specifications, design and development documentation
·
Provide feedback on development, user and support documentation.
·
Analyze results from test execution:
o
to improve existing test definition.
o
to increase the efficiency and efficacy of further testing.
o
to update the program team on status and progress.
·
Work with the rest of the SWQA team to be aligned on processes and improvements.
·
Customer advocate.
Required education and overall experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication engineering or similar degree.
Must possess a minimum of 4+ years of quality assurance /Software Testing experience.
Skills, abilities and knowledge required to perform the work
Must possess a very solid understanding of testing methodologies and quality standards.
Must possess a strong understanding of the industry on QA trends and ability to think outside the box to enable significant defect reductions and improvements in our overall quality.
Must have experience on planning (test schedule, resource planning,…), building and running complex test environments.
Must have ability to manage QA processes, as well as personally write test cases, execute tests,..
Must have excellent teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
Must have experience in full software development life cycle and methodologies.
Fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written).
